Privacy Policy

This policy explains what NKB Growth Consultancy Private Limited, the company behind Read with Tara, collects when you talk to Tara on WhatsApp, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect

• Your WhatsApp number and profile name, so we can reply to you.
• Your messages to Tara and her replies, so the conversation makes sense and she remembers what you discussed.
• Your tarot reading: the question you ask, the shuffled deck and the three numbers you picked from it (which together say which cards you drew), and the language we spoke in. We keep these so Tara can answer follow-up questions about the same cards, and so a paid reading interrupted by a fault can still be delivered.
• Whether you are a man or a woman, if your messages say so. Tara does not ask. If a message of yours says it of yourself, we record it so she addresses you correctly. It is never guessed from your name, and you can ask us to correct it.
• The ad you came from, if you came from one: the identifier Meta created for that tap, and the ad's own text.
• Payment records: amount, currency, date and a payment reference. We never receive your card number or bank details.
• If you have paid: when each of Tara's replies reached your phone and when you read it, as WhatsApp reports it to us. The times only, never the message. We keep this so we can show that a payment bought a reading you actually received.

Why we collect it

To give you the reading you asked for, to answer your follow-up questions, to remember earlier conversations, and to process payments. Two things beyond that, neither of which ever includes anything you have told Tara: measuring which of our ads bring people we can help, and asking Meta not to show our ads to people already talking to Tara. Both are explained below.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with:

• Meta (WhatsApp): messages travel over the WhatsApp Business Platform to reach you, and the pictures of your cards travel the same way.
• Google Cloud (Vertex AI): used to write readings. To write yours, it receives your question, any follow-up questions about the same cards, and the cards you drew. If your question is about pregnancy, a court case, an exam result or an illness, we tell you before you pay that the cards cannot answer it, and that question is not shown to the reading model. Once a conversation has gone quiet, the same service writes a short summary of its last messages so Tara remembers it next time; the summary can include what you asked. Under Google Cloud's terms, none of it is used to train their models.
• OpenAI: a second provider, used when Google's capacity is unavailable, so that Tara can still reply. It receives the same information Google would have. Under OpenAI's API terms it is not used to train their models.
• Dodo Payments: payment processing. Dodo receives your phone number and our own reference for your reading.
• Meta (advertising): described in the next two sections.
• Google Fonts: every page of this website loads its typefaces from Google, so Google sees your IP address and browser when you read these pages.
• Railway: hosting and database.

We may disclose data where the law requires it. Every such request is reviewed before anything is handed over, and we disclose only the specific data named, for the specific people named. Where the law allows, we will tell you.

If you came from one of our ads

If you reached Tara by tapping one of our ads on Facebook or Instagram, we report back to Meta that you wrote to her and, if you pay, that you paid, how much and in which currency. Each event carries a scrambled code derived from your phone number. This is not anonymous: Meta can match that code to numbers it already holds, which is why it is sent. Meta also uses these events to decide who to show our ads to. We never send Meta your name, your question, your cards or anything you have written to Tara.

So our ads are not shown to people already talking to Tara

At least once a day we give Meta a list of everyone who has messaged Tara on WhatsApp, as the same scrambled codes, and ask it to leave those people out of ads for new customers. This includes you whether or not you came from an ad. Nothing else goes with it. A copy already sent stays in the list Meta holds.

How long we keep it

We keep your readings and conversation history so Tara can remember you. The record of when replies were delivered and read is deleted after 180 days. If you ask us to delete your data, we do so within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to support@tarajyotish.in. Please use email rather than WhatsApp for this: a message like "delete me" in the chat is read as a request to stop messaging you, which does not delete anything. We reply within 7 working days.

Security

Your data is stored in an access-controlled database, payment details never reach our servers, and everything travels over encrypted connections.

Children

Read with Tara is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
